Full Job Description
Responsible for providing strategic operational leadership for the American Organization for Nursing Leadership AONL) membership function, overseeing member recruitment, retention, engagement, and customer experience in support of organizational goals and annual membership revenue exceeding $2.2 million. Reporting to the CEO, lead the membership team, manage departmental resources and budgets, and collaborate across the organization to deliver a consistent, high-quality member experience while advancing AONL's strategic priorities.Essential Functions
  • Develop and execute membership strategies that support organizational priorities and growth objectives. Lead annual membership recruitment, retention, engagement, and revenue planning.
  • Evaluate membership trends, member feedback, and market opportunities to recommend new programs, services, and engagement strategies.
  • Establish departmental priorities, goals, and performance measures aligned with AONL's strategic plan. Oversee membership operations, policies, systems, and processes to improve efficiency and member satisfaction.
  • Lead AONL's member experience strategy and promote a culture of exceptional customer service. Ensure membership value is integrated across organizational programs, products, events, and communications.
  • Use membership data and analytics to monitor performance, evaluate results, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage the membership department budget and monitor revenue performance. Analyze operational and financial results to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure effective use of organizational resources.
  • Lead, coach, and develop membership staff while fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to advance membership priorities and organizational initiatives.
  • Build relationships with chapters, volunteers, corporate partners, and other stakeholders to strengthen member engagement.
  • Represent AONL externally, as appropriate, and lead special projects that support organizational goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Education
  • Bachelor's Degree Business administration, marketing, communications, healthcare administration, nonprofit management or related field Required

Salary Information:

Commensurate with related experience. The AHA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.

Salary Range - Minimum:
126000

Salary Range - Midpoint:
158000

Salary Range - Maximum:
190000
