Overview:
The Digital Workplace Engineer is part of the Digital Workplace Services team within Chatham's IT organization, focused on creating a modern, seamless technology experience for employees across the firm. This role on the team will focus on AI and automation, helping the firm scale intelligent, self-service solutions using AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Codex, alongside tools like Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and PowerShell. In this role, you'll act as a modern solution evangelist within IT, working alongside a broader network of technology champions across the firm to drive adoption of AI, automation, and modern workplace capabilities.
In this role you will:
• Serve as a modern solution evangelist within IT, partnering with a firmwide network of technology champions to promote AI, automation, and Microsoft 365 tools-helping employees understand practical ways to apply these solutions to their work through articles, demos, webinars, and hands-on sessions.
• Partner directly with business units to consult on process challenges, identify automation opportunities, and design and build solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerShell, and Microsoft Graph.
• Actively engage with vendors and the broader AI and automation community to stay ahead of emerging tools, techniques, and best practices, bringing new capabilities back to the firm.
• Provide insightful feedback to IT leadership on AI and automation tooling to help shape strategic product and engineering decisions.
• Partner with IT to champion standards, governance, and best practices for citizen development and AI usage across the Power Platform and beyond, including automation of identity and access workflows in Microsoft Entra ID.
• Drive adoption and best practices across the Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, etc.), partnering with the broader Digital Workplace Services team on the firm's core collaboration tools.
• Take ownership of key performance indicators tied to adoption, efficiency gains, and employee engagement with AI, automation, and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Lead engagements with the business to understand challenges and propose solutions for process improvement and business process automation.

• Serve as a technical leader and modern solution evangelist, advocating for the practical adoption of AI, automation, and Microsoft 365 tools across the firm, in partnership with the firm's broader network of technology champions
• Lead innovation by identifying and delivering automation solutions that eliminate manual work and unlock employee capacity
• Drive business process automation through hands-on consulting, Power Platform development, and self-service enablement
• Be a key contributor to developing IT's vision and roadmap for AI, automation, and modern workplace strategy
Contributors to your success:
• 3-5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of building automation solutions and driving technology adoption.
• Exceptional communication and consulting skills, with the ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into automated solutions.
• Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, etc.), with the ability to champion adoption alongside the wider Digital Workplace Services team.
• Hands-on experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft Graph; familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (identity, access, and app registrations) is a plus.
• Strong emphasis on customer service and the ability to teach people of all technical abilities.
• Practical experience applying AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Codex, Cursor) to real business problems, with enthusiasm for staying current on the fast-evolving AI landscape.
• Experience with Lean process improvement is a plus
For Denver based candidates, the compensation range for the position is expected to be between $82,000 and $100,000 annually. Total compensation, including base pay, discretionary individual bonus and company bonus, may be higher than range listed, depending on applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
