Location: Hershey, PA or Remote How will you fit in the big picture?The Digital Quality Specialist III is a key technical resource advancing Hershey's Digital Quality Strategy across food safety, quality, and regulatory programs. Reporting to the Manager, Digital Quality Systems (QRC), this remote role partners with QRC business owners, the Digital Quality team, Information Systems, and plant Quality Assurance teams to strengthen data, systems, and digital ways of working.
You will combine data and analytics, system administration, and business analysis to turn quality data into actionable insights, improve digital platforms, and deliver solutions from idea through deployment. Working with minimal direction, you will lead workstreams, advise business owners on system and data dependencies, and help shape Digital Quality governance.
What will you do? Data Management, Analytics & Reporting (40%) • Own and enhance the QRC Scorecard and Power BI portfolio, including semantic models, DAX measures, Power Query/M, refresh reliability, dashboards, and user support.
• Develop metrics and analytical tools that show program health, identify risk and improvement opportunities, and support business decisions.
• Lead QRC KPI development and annual metric reviews with business and regional partners, aligning measures with business priorities.
System Administration & Maintenance (35%) • Serve as technical lead for assigned QRC digital quality systems, with primary emphasis on LIMS, directing internal teams and external providers responsible for builds, configuration, and maintenance.
• Triage incidents, identify root causes, support corrective actions, and monitor partner and vendor performance against service expectations.
Business Analysis for Continuous Improvement (25%) • Translate business needs into functional and data specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and guide backlog items through intake, prioritization, and change processes.
• Map current- and future-state processes with subject matter experts to identify improvement, automation, and responsible AI opportunities.
Minimum Education & RequirementsExperience: 3+ years of relevant experience in data management, analytics or BI development, enterprise system administration, and/or business analysis. Experience in consumer packaged goods or a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. Equivalent technical experience will be considered.
Required Skills • Advanced Power BI capability, including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query/M, and workspace and refresh administration.
• Proficiency in SQL & working knowledge of enterprise data platforms and relational databases or data warehouses.
• Experience administering enterprise software, overseeing technical support teams or vendors, and writing functional and data specifications.
• Experience with functional and user acceptance testing and tools such as qTest, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and practical use of generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
Preferred Skills • LIMS administration and configuration, preferably LabWare, including LIMS Basic and Crystal Reports.
• SAP S/4HANA Quality Management or Batch Management; data governance, master data, data catalogs, or ALCOA+; and manufacturing food safety, quality, and regulatory practices.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $91,120 to $113,900 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training.
