Full Job Description
Job Description:

The Digital Product Manager leads at the intersection of business, technology, and design to define and deliver customer-first, digitally enabled experiences throughout the ecosystem for our global brands.

This highly visible and collaborative role sits within A&F's User Experience and Digital Product Team, with oversight of one or more experience and services squads. You operate strategically in developing the vision and direction for your product area while tactically inspiring cross-functional teams and leading the daily activities that enable it. You are accountable not only for what ships, but for the quality, operational health, and risk posture of the product.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Strategic thinking: Shaping strategic direction through customer insights, business context, and product vision. Connecting customer problems to squad and business goals, using competitive and market context to pitch new opportunities, articulating the trade-offs behind prioritization, and partnering with Finance to build the business case for investment.
  • Problem discovery and solution validation: Surfacing customer problems through user research, voice of customer, and data analysis; forming hypotheses with designers and analysts; and validating solutions through experiments and usability testing so decisions are grounded in evidence rather than assumption.
  • Execution and accountability: Translating vision into outcome-focused roadmaps and sprint plans, prioritizing work, resolving blockers, and aligning cross-functional partners (UX, IT, Store Operations, Data Science, Analytics, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing) to launch timelines, deployment plans, and internal communications.
  • Product operations: Owning your product area's operational health and backlog by ensuring the user experience is operating optimally in production environments.
  • Risk mitigation: Anticipating risk during planning by reviewing dependencies, timelines, and assumptions; and proposing mitigation options with clear trade-offs rather than only escalating; and owning risk visibility so stakeholders never learn of a risk first in a status meeting.
  • Craft and quality of work: Holding a high bar for the team's output by defining success criteria and acceptance standards, documenting requirements as epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, driving the validation plan end to end, and deciding when to ship versus hold, including post-launch monitoring.
  • Collaboration and influence: Facilitating alignment through story mapping, workshops, stand-ups, design reviews, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives; navigating contentious priority trade-offs productively; serving as the end-to-end subject matter expert for your product area; and coaching and giving developmental feedback to other product managers.

What Do You Need To Bring?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of digital product management experience in consumer-facing mobile and web products, with a track record of bringing new and innovative customer experiences to market.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail industry experience or equivalent domain experience.
  • Proficiency at appropriately applying Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean methods to identify and deliver high-value business and customer outcomes through digital products.
  • Demonstrated ownership of product operations and risk in partnership with delivery managers, including backlog health, delivery cadence, dependency management, and mitigation options with clear trade-offs.
  • Well versed in modern digital technologies, with the ability to facilitate communication between business, technology, and design teams.
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence at a strategic leadership level and cross functionally.
  • Strategic mindset and bias for action, with strength in strategic planning, defining OKRs, and driving business outcomes through digital products.
  • Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations, balance competing priorities, and work without direct supervision.
  • A natural leader who brings groups to consensus, coaches and mentors peers, and inspires enthusiasm toward team goals.
