About the Role
Join Deloitte's Controllership and Treasury Transformation practice to help clients modernize their finance functions and support evolving business priorities.
As a Digital Controllership Senior Consultant, you'll focus on finance data architecture, chart of accounts modernization, data harmonization, reconciliation, and reporting design across complex transformation programs. You'll collaborate with finance and technology stakeholders to design scalable data structures, improve reporting outcomes, and enable confident decision-making through data, automation, and AI-enabled tools.

Work You'll Do
• Design enterprise finance data models across general ledger, subledger, consolidation, planning, reporting, and analytics layers.
• Support chart of accounts modernization, harmonization, and hierarchy design to improve statutory reporting, management reporting, and finance analytics.
• Build and apply crosswalks, transformation logic, and reconciliation frameworks for ERP transformations, migrations, and post-merger integration efforts.
• Develop repeatable workflows for data preparation, cleansing, validation, and automation using Alteryx, Tableau Prep, Savant, or similar tools.
• Translate reporting requirements, KPIs, and governance needs into target-state finance data architecture decisions.
• Support digital controllership and financial reporting initiatives, including process redesign, controls enhancement, and reporting automation.
• Leverage AI-enabled capabilities to accelerate the design, build, and validation of finance data models, chart of accounts structures, reconciliation frameworks, and reporting hierarchies.
• Lead projects or workstreams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform data modeling, reconciliation, and validation using Alteryx or similar tools to support cutover, testing, and data migration activities during SAP S/4HANA implementation projects

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science
• 3+ years of experience in finance transformation, finance systems, finance data architecture, or finance data management.
• 3+ years of experience with requirements gathering, business process mapping, or full lifecycle implementation for ERP systems, finance platforms, or boundary applications.
• Experience designing enterprise finance data models across general ledger, subledger, consolidation, planning, and reporting domains.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Workday Financials, or similar ERP platforms.
• Experience leading chart of accounts modernization, harmonization, or governance initiatives across business units, legal entities, or post-merger environments.
• Experience designing reconciliation, migration, and crosswalk frameworks for ERP-to-ERP or ERP-to-data-platform transformations.
• Experience supporting digital controllership or financial reporting initiatives, including controls, process improvement, or reporting automation.
• Exposure to AI- or GenAI-enabled finance tools, or demonstrated interest in applying AI to controllership, reconciliation, or reporting use cases.
• Ability to travel approximately 50%, based on client and engagement needs.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA, Certified Management Accountant, or equivalent credential.
• Master's degree in business, information systems, accounting, or finance.
• Experience with Alteryx, Tableau Prep, Savant, or similar tools for data transformation, mapping, or reconciliation workflows.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud data platforms.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or post-merger data harmonization initiatives.
• Experience with common information models or industry data model standards.
• Experience with AI platforms, such as Claude, Copilot, or similar tools, applied to finance operations, reporting narrative generation, or controls testing.
• Experience supporting digital controllership or financial reporting initiatives, including controls, process improvement, or reporting automation
• Experience with data modeling and data reconciliation using Alteryx or similar tools, and working with SAP data or accounting ERP systems in support of an S/4HANA implementation or migration project
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $116,200 to $229,100.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
