DevSecOps Platform Engineer
The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Platform Engineer to support and enhance enterprise DevSecOps platforms, including GitHub, Sonatype Nexus, Sonatype Lifecycle and Firewall, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions. This position focuses on AWS-hosted infrastructure, including Amazon EKS. The engineer will independently troubleshoot issues, perform platform maintenance and upgrades, develop automation, and remediate security and operational issues affecting platform availability.

Occasional work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required to support scheduled maintenance, upgrades, incident response, or critical business needs. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience administering Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting, scaling, capacity management, and monitoring
  • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Linux systems administration, and enterprise networking fundamentals
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps technologies such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Sonatype products
  • Experience developing scripts or automation in languages such as Python or Bash
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, security groups, load balancing, and network troubleshooting
  • Ability to investigate unfamiliar technical problems and independently manage assigned work from initial analysis through implementation and resolution
  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or systems administration in lieu of a degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
