Job Requirements Job DescriptionPOSITION: Devops QA EngineerWhat You will Do:- Develop, manage, and automate build, testing, and deployment processes to create robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure, including cloud environments (AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Implement and manage systems for monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure high availability and promptly troubleshoot production issues.
- Work closely with software developers, QA, and operations teams to bridge the gap between development and operations and to improve the overall software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Oversee security measures and best practices within the DevOps processes to ensure compliance.
- Contribute to the technical design and strategy for the company's DevOps approach.
- Guide and train a team of DevOps engineers.
- Design, develop, and execute a comprehensive automated testing strategy, leading the charge to convert manual testing processes into a robust, scalable framework.
- Architect and support implement end-to-end, integration, and API tests using modern frameworks (Playwright) and programming languages (Java/Python).
- Embed automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback to the development team and ensure quality is maintained with every release.
- Act as a key voice for quality in architectural and design reviews, ensuring testability is built into the development lifecycle from the start.
- Lead and contribute to healthy debates on technology strategy, framework selection, and testing best practices to continuously improve our QA processes.
- Work closely with developers, project managers, and DevOps to identify, triage, and p0 resolve bugs, and to define and report on key quality metrics.
What You Will Bring:- Extensive experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or a similar role.
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD, automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and IaC.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- 9+ years of experience in QA Engineering, Software Development in Test (SDET), or a related software development role.
- Proven, hands-on experience leading the transition from a primarily manual testing environment to a robust automated testing culture.
- Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
- Demonstrated experience with modern end-to-end testing frameworks, with a strong preference for Playwright.
- Experience working effectively in a complex, matrixed organization on cross-functional projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and advocate for quality initiatives.
- A results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
Pay Range: $105K- $115K
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:This role is considered an on-site position located in
Cupertino, CA, USA- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
