, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support KITS and our government customer. The position is remote. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

The DevOps Engineer with a security emphasis and AWS knowledge will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud-based solutions while ensuring best security practices are followed.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS
- Implementing security policies and best practices for cloud-based applications
- Collaborating with development teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline
- Monitoring systems for security vulnerabilities and conducting regular security audits
- Engaging in incident response activities and addressing security issues promptly
- Automating security processes and configuration management
- Implementing and managing AWS/Azure services and resources
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security and compliance requirements are met
Education and Experience:Required:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on security
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Experience with implementing security controls in cloud environments
Required Skills and Competencies:- Strong knowledge of AWS services and hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Understanding of security best practices and common security threats
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Security Requirement:- Ability to obtain public trust clearance
Desired Skills and Competencies:- Experience working in a federal government IT environment
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, or NIST
- Experience with security assessment tools and vulnerability scanning
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification or azure equivalent
- Experience with security incident response and forensics
