General Summary:We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help deliver the future of AI on DSPs. Our team manages the cross-site infrastructure and tools that enable Qualcomm's ML teams to deliver products to customers.
We manage a server farm of embedded phone-like devices and the infrastructure (CI/CD, tooling, automation) which enables software developers to run workloads at large scales (400,000+ tasks per day).
Our team focuses on maintaining the physical server farm and developing and enhancing the automation around it.
Responsibilities:- Develop, maintain, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines to support large-scale software delivery.
- Administer Jenkins infrastructure, including job configuration, plugin management, and performance tuning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot build systems, ensuring high availability and rapid response to issues.
- Scale infrastructure to meet growing demands and proactively address performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across build and deployment systems.
What are we looking for? - Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant discipline. A master's degree is preferable.
- 7+ years of practical experience in DevOps.
- Advanced experience with industry standard CI/CD pipeline automation and tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI).
- Advanced proficiency in shell scripting and Python.
- Advanced debugging skills; able to clearly articulate past examples of resolving complex build, deployment, and infrastructure issues.
- Advanced-level skills in Linux system administration, including Docker, Git, NFS.
- Experience with database administration and data visualization tools.
- Experience with on-premises batch compute systems like LSF, SGE, or similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team spanning. several time zones
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
• 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $154,000.00 - $231,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
