Summary

This role, as a DevOps engineer is to support and accelerate engineering productivity by developing, promoting, tracking various engineering tools, include AI operational tools. The job requires investigating and understanding existing engineering workflows across multiple engineering organizations and identifying antiquated processes that need to be modernized. This will include documenting existing and new processes, implementing custom software, integrating third party tools, testing and deploying infrastructure, training and supporting engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities and Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Key Responsibilities
• Develop CI/CD pipeline using Python and scripting languages
• Represent Engineering Teams when investigating, implementing, and deploying engineering tools and instituting process changes.
• Provide training, education, and best practices to Engineering Teams for newly deployed tools.
• Handle support for handling complex engineering operational issues that require detailed discussions and analysis with Engineering Teams.
• Automation: Investigate third-party tools, conduct proof-of-concepts, develop scripts for automating workflows, and test implementations.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Work with Azure and GCP cloud platforms to deploy, manage, scale, and support engineering operational infrastructure.
• Visibility: Define and develop dashboards to provide visibility into engineering workflows and status of projects
• Monitoring: Implement and maintain system and application performance monitoring and alerting.
• Security: Integrate security practices into every stage of automated engineering processes

CANDIDATE MUST WORK OUT OF AUSTIN, TX OR SAN JOSE, CA - HYBRID

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Python programming
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation concepts and tools

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and is a plus.


Physical Demands
