Full Job Description
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is seeking a Development & Feasibility Senior Analyst, Americas to join our Development - Americas team.

This position is based within our Americas Corporate Office, with hybrid working arrangements considered, and forms part of the wider Development - Americas team.

The Development & Feasibility Senior Analyst, Americas is responsible for supporting the growth of Mandarin Oriental's hotel management and branded residences business throughout North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The role is focused on conducting financial underwriting, feasibility studies, market analysis, and investment evaluations for new hotel and branded residences opportunities, while preparing the analytical materials and business cases that support strategic development decisions from origination through completion.

The position covers North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean and reports to the Senior Manager, Development - Americas. This role requires collaboration with Development, Residential, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Technical Services teams, together with external owners, developers, investors, consultants, and brokers across the region.

As Development & Feasibility Senior Analyst, Americas, you will be responsible for:

Lead financial underwriting and feasibility analyses for new management contracts, conversions, acquisitions, branded residences developments, and ground-up projects.

Prepare detailed operating pro formas, discounted cash flow valuations, investment analyses, and financial return models, including IRR and NPV calculations.

Conduct market studies using STR, CoStar, and other industry data sources to evaluate market demand, competitive positioning, and financial performance opportunities.

Assess supply and demand dynamics, market penetration, ADR, RevPAR, GOPPAR, and competitive landscape considerations for prospective developments.

Recommend preliminary facilities programming, including guestrooms, food and beverage concepts, spa and wellness facilities, meeting and event spaces, and residences components.

Prepare investment committee memoranda, feasibility reports, RFP responses, presentations, Letters of Intent, and other deal documentation for senior leadership review.

Support negotiations through financial analysis, scenario modelling, and evaluation of commercial terms.

Coordinate due diligence activities and collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of development opportunities.

Partner closely with Development, Residential, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Technical Services teams to support project evaluation and execution.

Monitor market trends, industry developments, competitive activity, and investment opportunities across the luxury hospitality and branded residences sectors.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives through automation, standardized financial models, and AI-enabled analytical tools.

Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, brokers, owners, developers, and industry contacts across the region.

Produce analysis and recommendations that support informed development and investment decisions.

Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.

As Development & Feasibility Senior Analyst, Americas, we expect from you:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Finance, Business, Economics, Real Estate, or a related discipline.

A minimum of five years of experience in hotel feasibility, development underwriting, investment analysis, hospitality consulting, revenue strategy, asset management, or a related field.

Strong financial modelling capabilities, including DCF valuation, IRR, NPV, and investment analysis.

Experience preparing operating forecasts, feasibility studies, and investment recommendations for development opportunities.

Working knowledge of hotel financial performance metrics, including USALI, ADR, RevPAR, GOPPAR, and hotel management agreement economics.

Experience utilizing STR, CoStar, and other market intelligence and benchmarking tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and market data.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively.

Ability to prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and business cases for leadership review.

Experience with automation, financial modelling enhancements, or AI-enabled analytical tools would be advantageous.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple functions and cultures.

Demonstrated commercial judgement, attention to detail, and discretion when working with confidential information.

Luxury hospitality, branded residences, mixed-use developments, or hotel real estate experience would be considered advantageous.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Americas region as required.
