Standard Job DescriptionThe WorkLockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Dev Sec Ops Software Engineer- Early Career. The core responsibility for this role will be to develop software using Java and/or C++ . Coding in/and leveraging related development tools and environments will be the major focus for this role. The ability to take responsibility for increasingly difficult tasks, complete them on schedule, and document and present the results will be very helpful in this position. The successful candidate will have knowledge and/or experience with design and development of software using JAVA or C++. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
This position requires a government security clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications- BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related technical field
- Minimum of 2 years related experience
- Knowledge and/or experience with design and development of software using JAVA or C++
- Knowledge and/or experience with tools like Jira, Git, BitBucket, Crucible and/or Confluence.
- Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. citizenship required
Desired Skills- Knowledge and/or experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and/or DevSecOps environment
- Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully leverage those to successfully complete projects in a timely manner
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
