Full Job Description
At Everlane we are product leaders. We are building a first-class design team, and we are currently looking for a Designer that will focus on designing and developing great products for Women's Everlane Customers. This includes shirting, dresses, casual and tailored bottoms, as well as support on both technical and tailored outerwear. As the Designer - Women's Cut and Sew knits, you must be passionate, enthusiastic, and rigorous, with an obsessive eye for detail. You will bring your designs to life by reviewing samples, attending fittings, and collaborating with product development, merchandising, and production teams. Our designs are seen by hundreds of thousands of people and are consistently featured in popular fashion publications. Our brand ethos and design aesthetic is one of purity and simplicity; less is more. Our vision is to create perfect and timeless wardrobe pieces for every woman. We rely on a thorough editing process to get these essential pieces just right, from fabric to fit, to drape and construction. Your day-to-day: 3 Support in the creation of female knit products 3 Initiate designs beginning with thorough research and inspirational images 3 Work closely with other members of the design team to develop cohesive seasonal product grouping 3 Hand sketch initial ideas, and computer sketch final ideas 3 Creation of technical packages 3 Communicate and collaborate with Raw Materials, Tech teams, and Production teams to ensure optimal product development 3 Collaborate with Merchandising partners to build a seasonal knowledge of strong successful and ownable Everlane designs and apply this knowledge when designing future products to drive the business forward 3 Assist with the preparation of presentations for milestone meetings We'd love to hear from you if you have: 3 3+ years of experience in a similar role 3 Technical knowledge of knits construction 3 Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or closely related design field 3 Great taste and a strong understanding of casual chic 3 The desire to work on a collaborative and diverse team that is dedicated to doing good for the planet and the consumer 3 An entrepreneurial mindset and a solution-oriented approach to challenges The Fine Print: LA: This is a full-time role based in our Los Angeles Creative Studio located in the Arts District. We are on a hybrid schedule, with at least three days in the office per week, Tuesdays through Thursdays. California resident: At Everlane, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The annual compensation range for this role is $67,000-$95,000. This range is based on the LA geographic area and the actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
