Key Responsibilities
Product Design and Development
Develop new products and enhance existing products to address customer needs, expand market opportunities, and strengthen Ameron's competitive position.
Evaluate concepts for structural performance, functionality, manufacturability, and cost.
Develop engineering calculations, models, drawings, renderings, and technical documentation to support concept evaluation and product implementation.
Plan and support prototyping and testing; evaluate results and refine designs.
Establish design methods and technical guidance that allow new products and options to transition into routine engineering and production workflows.
Provide engineering support to the shop to clarify product design requirements and resolve technical questions related to manufacturing the product.
Incorporate production feedback into product designs to improve manufacturability while maintaining required performance.
Engineering Analysis Tools
Maintain and improve engineering analysis methods and software to accommodate applicable design codes, new products, materials, and design requirements.
Translate engineering requirements into documented calculation methods and software functionality.
