DescriptionSEWS - Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. Although located at SEWS - Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least four days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.
JOB TITLE: Design Engineer III
RESPONSIBILITIES:- This is a Hybrid Work Position following company policy (currently 4 days in the office and 1 day work from home). Upon Managers discretion, skill development needs, status of the project, and others, employees may be required to work in the office all 5 days.
- Create / maintain and ownership fuse box 3D design, design changes, and drawings within Unigraphics (NX).
- Interpret, maintain and develop schematics / BOMs.
- Create / maintain projects to program timing and due dates.
- Support / conduct internal meetings and design reviews.
- Interface with customer; meetings, design reviews, build support, etc.
- Develop DFMEA, DVP&R, 5P documents.
- Interpret and apply GD&T to SEWS drawings.
- Travel may be required (>10%).
- Work with Team on Continuous Improvement Activities.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years engineering experience required.
- Required Unigraphics (NX) CAD experience.
- Fuse Box Design / Engineering Experience.
- Stellantis, Ford, Rivian or GM experience is a Plus.
