ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer to join our Survey Team. This position will be responsible for supporting and delivering civil engineering and land surveying projects through design development, data analysis, field coordination, and technical documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with surveyors, engineers, project managers, and clients to provide accurate, high-quality engineering and surveying solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
This role offers a balance of office-based design work and field activities, including site visits and project support.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare civil engineering designs, calculations, reports, exhibits, and construction-related documentation.
- Support land surveying projects through coordination of field data collection, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and survey deliverables.
- Develop and maintain design drawings using industry-standard CAD software.
- Review survey data and integrate findings into engineering designs and project plans.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, survey crews, and clients to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Apply applicable codes, standards, and regulations to engineering and surveying projects.
- Perform quality control reviews of engineering calculations, plans, and survey deliverables.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and technical coordination.
- Conduct field visits and site inspections to verify existing conditions and support project execution.
- Communicate project updates, technical findings, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of civil engineering and design experience.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of land surveying experience or demonstrated experience supporting surveying projects.
- Proficiency with civil engineering design principles and surveying practices.
- Experience with CAD design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred).
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites and perform fieldwork as required.
Preferred Qualifications- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.
- Familiarity with GIS, GPS/GNSS data collection, and survey processing software.
- Knowledge of land development, utility, transportation, or infrastructure projects.

- This position pays between $70,000 and $93,000 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
