Job Description & Skill Requirement: The Design & Development Engineer - Thermal Systems will be responsible for supporting the design, development, integration, and change management of automotive thermal systems, including HVAC, PTC, piping, and other thermal components.
Key Responsibilities: - Establish physics-based component requirements for piping, HVAC, PTC, and thermal systems.
- Work with the packaging team on design and coordinate thermal system objectives.
- Ensure critical thermal system requirements are established and met.
- Responsible for design updates within the assigned thermal system area.
- Work with interface teams to balance and resolve system requirements.
- Collaborate with the design/release team to process engineering change orders.
- Take ownership of and implement component changes through the change management process.
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships for component issues and technical communications.
- Work with test engineers to establish appropriate test plans.
- Complete engineering deliverables on time to support the product development process.
