Full Job Description
What You'll Do Day-To-Day

  • Coordinates all engineering work (maintains overall technical solution, development of procedures, definition and acquisition of required tools, materials, etc.) and other preparations which will be required to implement the contract within budget/schedule.
  • Plans, organizes, implements and follows through to completion a solution to address client's need.
  • Defines and forecasts the necessary skills and work arrangements to support the objectives of the project (supports decisions on emergent work staffing).
  • May supervise/coordinate day-to-day operations of engineers, designers, engineering technicians and others who assist in completion of specific project assignments.
  • Represents the Company in communication with other organizations to resolve questions, plan, and coordinate work.
  • Proposes plans and cost improvement programs that allow the project to achieve its business objectives.

Preferred Skills
  • Own the technical definition of manufacturing processes for advanced reactor HALEU (10-20% enriched uranium) fuel forms.
  • Develop, maintain, and control technical bases/bases of design, process specification and engineering requirements.
  • Serve as the primary technical decision maker for assigned process systems, ensuring design intent, safety basis, and regulatory compliance are preserved.
  • Lead engineering evaluations, design changes, and configuration management activities for production equipment and process flows.
  • Coordinate with Process Engineering, Operations, and Quality to translate development concepts into manufacturable, compliant, and reliable processes.
  • Review and approve engineering documents (drawings, calculations, process flows, hazard analyses, test plans, and technical reports).
  • Support nuclear material handling and process design considerations related to HALEU fuel.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on the production floor; develop and implement corrective actions and sustainable long-term solutions.
  • Identify and implement technology improvements, equipment upgrades, and process optimizations.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable nuclear, safety, and quality and plant standards.
  • Interface with EHS&L, Criticality Safety, and MC&A to ensure technical changes maintain the facility's safety basis and licensed limits.
  • Manage engineering tasks and contribute engineering leadership to larger capital or site projects.
  • Document technical decisions and maintain traceability of design rationale across the project lifecycle.
  • Support readiness reviews, qualification activities, and commissioning of new or modified equipment and processes.

Total Rewards Package
  • Salary: $126,000 - $171,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
