Deputy Program ManagerDeputy Program Manager
What You’ll Do
As a Deputy Program Manager, you will be responsible along with the Program Manager, for all aspects of the deployment and management of contractor support personnel assigned to work on all Task Orders awarded under the IDIQ contract. In absence of the PM, the DPM shall have full authority to act on behalf of the Contractor and execute unilateral decision making on all contract matters relating to the daily operation of this contract. You will be located in the DMV area, will be onsite 100%, with occasional OCONUS travel.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Fully coordinate and collaborate on all tasks, activities, requirements and issues as they pertain to the support of the Customer
Identify issues and adapt program plans according to the Customer feedback on program cost, performance, quality, schedule and risk.
Develop plans and schedules, and define and document the implementation of requirements
Use established program management procedures to monitor cost, schedule, inventory, and performance; assess variances of the plan and take necessary corrective action.
Review and clarify contract requirements as they are dispensed from the requirements management tool, and propose cleared, qualified personnel to expeditiously fulfill the requirements
Identify potential downstream issues that may negatively affect meeting requirements and provide recommendations to mitigate negative impacts
Manage customer expectations with proactive, consistent and transparent communication.
Ensure continuity of support with contractor personnel changes and approving of TO staffing alignments /allocations
Interface with the CO, COTR and Government leadership
Oversee the execution of the Transition Plan
Oversee the management and implementation of the PMP
Serve as a primary point of contact for formal discussion with the customer, including frequent customer interaction with the intent to sustain and improve customer satisfaction
Oversee the Contractor’s Environmental, Health and Safety functions, ensuring that all safe work practices are being followed
Monitor cost control, financial reports, budgeting, and overall operating costs
Oversee the coordination of work priorities and monitoring of methods, procedures and programs
Improve cost-effectiveness and efficiency
Oversee the monitoring and inspecting of maintenance, repair and service operations for quality control and contract compliance
Ensure that management and contract reports are accurate before submission.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award
Requirements
Must possess a US TS/SCI with Poly Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Engineering plus a total of ten (10) years’ experience in Management level positions. OR,
Bachelor’s degree in another field and ten (10) years of experience in project level positions PLUS six (6) years’ experience in the field of Engineering or Business
PMP Certification (Project Management Professional)
Personnel management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to manage items including, but not limited to: project schedule, scope, cost, risk, and deliverables and related metrics
Knowledge of Customer exercise or crisis management communities and experience planning, coordinating and executing support to special events
Familiarity and willingness to manage a 24/7/365 operational environment
