The Deputy Director of Electric Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Electric Department. This position is responsible for the supervision of first- and second-line supervisors within the electric operations.
Education: Bachelor's degree with course work in electrical engineering, business or a related field is desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience: Six years' experience in program and process management, with four years in a supervisory capacity, is required to meet the demands of this position. Experience in the design and operation of an electrical transmission and distribution system is a key component. This will include substation construction and maintenance, power system protection and coordination, knowledge of National Electric Code, National Electric Safety Code, and electric industry standards.
License & Certification: Valid vehicle operator license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with City policy.
