Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Deputy Department Manager to help lead our growing Florida Water Practice. Sitting in our Jacksonville office, we’re seeking a collaborative water professional to serve as a team leader responsible for coordinating with project engineers and engineering interns to execute integrated water, wastewater, stormwater, and water projects. This role is supported by an executive and techncial team invested to the success of this position. Consideration requires experience in water, stormwater, and/or wastewater engineering (One Water) with project experience to include hydrological modeling, hydraulic modeling, infrastructure planning and engineering design. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for client relationship management.

  • Confirm code research, written specifications, and applicable permits obtained.
  • Coordinates projects assignments with project managers engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
  • Support project budget and schedule goals.
  • Business development and mentorship of teammates.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience required.
  • Professional Engineering license in Florida is required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft office is required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well suited to executing work in a team environment.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff about projects and Dewberry market segments.
