Full Job Description

About the Role

Our team is growing and we are looking for a Deployment Architect to join our Professional Services team! In this role, you will be the technical depth behind our most complex AI deployments, shaping how enterprise customers move from an ambition for AI to an architecture that runs their business. You will lead technical discovery, design the solution, estimate the work, and support the sale of technical services, then carry that design into the forward-deployed engineering team that builds it. You will also own the architecture, standards, and reference patterns our delivery organization works to, so the quality of a deployment never depends on who happened to be in the room when it was scoped.

Please note that this is a hybrid position with three days/week in our New York office.

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical discovery for the Deployment Strategists scoping new work and for Account Owners qualifying opportunities inside existing accounts, surfacing AI, integration, and data requirements before scope and price are committed.
  • Design advanced AI architecture on the monday AI work platform, spanning the agents, context, and data layers that intelligent workflows run on in an enterprise environment.
  • Architect the technical scope that exceeds native platform capabilities, spanning integrations, data mobility and migrations, custom applications, and the interfaces between them.
  • Estimate the effort and the consumption impact of the technical work you scope, since an incorrect estimate spends capacity the customer expected to use elsewhere.
  • Partner with the Account Owner and the Deployment Strategist to sell forward-deployed engineering services, establishing credibility with enterprise architects, security reviewers, and the executives funding the work.
  • Produce the solution design documents, architecture diagrams, and workflow artifacts the delivery team builds from, and the technical content behind proposals and statements of work.
  • Carry your design into delivery on the most complex engagements, briefing forward-deployed consultants and engineers on the intent and providing technical oversight for early-stage execution.
  • Own the technical delivery standards our consultants and engineers build to, covering architecture, security, governance, scalability, and the reference patterns behind each.
  • Build the estimation models, discovery questionnaires, and reusable skill libraries that encode how work gets delivered, so most scoping happens accurately without an architect in the room.
  • Serve as the technical authority the delivery team relies on, raising capability through mentoring and knowledge sharing, and advocating with Product where customer needs outpace the platform today.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years as a solutions architect or forward-deployed engineer in enterprise software, with recent experience designing AI solutions for external customers.
  • Demonstrated depth in AI architecture, covering agentic systems, LLM-based workflows, tool use, and context and retrieval design, with the judgment to know when an AI approach outperforms a deterministic one.
  • Experience defining how AI quality is measured and maintained in production, spanning evaluation, guardrails, human review, and observability.
  • Enterprise data architecture experience across complex technology landscapes, including data mobility work such as ETL, migrations, and conversions, and a read on what makes a customer's data ready for AI to act on.
  • Fluency across integration approaches - API and event-driven integration, iPaaS and low-code platforms, and custom middleware - and command of the standards behind them, including REST, GraphQL, webhooks, SCIM, SAML 2.0/OAuth 2.0, and MCP.
  • Working proficiency in Python or TypeScript and regular use of AI-assisted editors such as Cursor or Claude Code, sufficient to prototype a design and to evaluate the approach an engineer proposes for building it.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and governance requirements, including how AI systems handle customer data, and the ability to hold a design to them under review.
  • Experience estimating delivery effort and creating statements of work for AI builds, data migrations, integrations, and custom application development, and building the models that let other people estimate consistently.
  • Commercial acumen sufficient to run technical discovery in front of a customer and support the sale of technical services rather than just deliver them.
  • Strong customer-facing and presentation skills, with superb written and verbal communication, able to establish credibility with technical stakeholders and executives and to articulate technical topics to a non-technical audience.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and documentation skills, able to work across simultaneous engagements at different stages, with a positive attitude, empathy, and the ability to take initiative and adapt.
  • BA or BS degree preferred.

The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $140,000-$170,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including education, training, experience, business needs, and work location. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for either an annual discretionary bonus or a role-based, sales incentive plan. Certain roles may also include equity in the form of RSUs. Full compensation details, including any applicable bonus or incentive plan, will be provided in the hiring process.
