Full Job Description
FTS has as opportunity for a Department of War (DoW) Liaison in McLean, VA

The Department of War (DoW) Liaison will establish and maintain professional relationships with DoW mission partners to communicate and coordinate support for military activities.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the DoW subject matter expert
  • Attend in-person and virtual meetings with requirement owners to define specific requirements and provide progress status
  • Write, review, and coordinate requests for support and plans


Required Skills/Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • BS/BA degree in a relevant field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Work experience in the Department of War and knowledge of U.S. military organizational structures, missions, locations, and operating principles
  • Work experience within the Intelligence Community and knowledge of organizations, missions, and operating principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
  • Ability to understand and write military activity and planning terminology
  • Experience working with, writing for, and briefing mid to senior-level executives
  • Possess attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal and external teams
  • Ability to foster solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze situations and provide recommendations to mid and senior-level executives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows computer applications


DesiredSkills/Qualifications
  • U.S. military service with operational and staff experience in conventional forces and special operations forces
  • Experience as a planner and/or practitioner of signature reduction activities
  • General knowledge of client organization and mission


Expected Salary Range: $137,000 - $162,000 per year. Placement within the range is determined by qualifications, job-related criteria, experience, internal equity and market considerations.
