Position Summary

Manage day-to-day fiscal and administrative operations for the department, including developing and administering budgets, supervising staff, ensuring efficient processing of adjunct faculty and staff appointments, developing and implementing policies and procedures, curriculum development, and course information preparation, and effectively resolving faculty and staff problems.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience supervising departmental operations and staff and administering budgets and possess strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience in higher education or non-profit environment

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to provide advice, exercise sound judgment, problem solve, and interact with individuals at all levels. Excellent interpersonal and writing skills. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion. Ability to lead/manage others. Ability to monitor/assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Ability to interpret and apply University and School policies and procedures.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Budget development, forecasting, reconciliation, and financial management Supervision and oversight of administrative staff and departmental operations

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $87,850.00 to USD $107,850.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
