Title:Defense Development Program Manager
Program SummaryThis position is for a development program manager in the aerospace/defense sector, with primary responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day development operations of an aerospace/defense program and transitioning the program into full rate production.

Roles and Responsibilities - Analyzes program activities: acquisition program planning, proposal pricing, financial management, cost analysis, management techniques, and documentation requirements.
- Compiles and reviews budgets against actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, and other data sources to control budgets and provide proper financial decisions.
- Aids in developing and implementing strategies to achieve program objectives safely and within agreed time, cost, technical, quality, and other performance criteria.
- Participates in the control of costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system. Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
- Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
- Develops plans including budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for several major portions of a program.
- Has advanced expertise in DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and engineering requirements, advises colleagues on interpretation of standards within the context of Group's contract objectives.
- Impacts the direction and resource allocation for program, project or services; works within general Divisional/Group policies and industry guidelines.
- Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections, and persuades others, often at senior levels, to influence decisions.
- Anticipates internal and or external business challenges and/or regulatory/ compliance issues; recommends process, product or service improvements.
- May conduct operational effectiveness reviews to ensure functional or project systems are applied as designed, and function satisfactorily
Basic Qualifications - 7-10 Years of Program Management Experience
- 5+ Years of Program Management Experience in Aerospace/Defense
- Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
- Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Master's Degree in Related Field
