DCSA Senior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)

Work Location: On-site at DCSA training locations; travel as needed

Summary

C² Technologies seeks a DCSA Senior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to lead the design, development, and maintenance of instructional curricula and learning solutions supporting DCSA workforce needs.

The Senior Instructional Systems Designer will apply structured Instructional Systems Design methodologies, including ADDIE, to develop effective learning solutions across multiple delivery modalities. This position will ensure instructional products are accessible, compliant, properly maintained, and aligned with identified workforce and performance requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct instructional and training needs analyses.
  • Develop measurable learning objectives based on identified workforce needs.
  • Design curricula using structured Instructional Systems Design methodologies, including ADDIE.
  • Develop eLearning, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
  • Create facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, assessments, and other instructional products.
  • Apply adult learning principles throughout instructional design and development.
  • Conduct pilot testing of instructional materials and learning solutions.
  • Analyze pilot feedback and revise instructional materials as needed.
  • Maintain curriculum lifecycle documentation and version control.
  • Ensure learning products meet Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Ensure learning products align with applicable Department of Defense requirements.
  • Maintain learning asset repositories and training content libraries.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and improvement of instructional curricula.
Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Education or experience in instructional systems design, education, training development, or a related discipline required.
Experience
  • Strong experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Experience conducting training and instructional needs analyses.
  • Experience designing and developing training across multiple modalities.
  • Demonstrated experience applying adult learning principles.
  • Experience developing eLearning, instructor-led, and blended learning solutions.
  • Federal or Department of Defense learning environment experience preferred.
  • Experience with LMS platforms and eLearning authoring tools preferred.
  • Experience conducting training evaluation and pilot testing preferred.
  • Experience maintaining instructional content throughout the curriculum lifecycle preferred.
Required Certifications & Clearance

Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $115,000 / year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and structural alignment. Individual pay is influenced by several factors, including the candidate's work location, relevant experience, skillset, and contract constraints.
