Full Job Description
Provides technical and engineering support to the process network in the manufacturing plants. This includes programming, configuring and troubleshooting the entire process control network. Responsible for the troubleshooting and configuration of the systems in all plants on site. Supports the configuration work associated with W&E for the site. Drives the standards for the site for the DCS system. Leads the mechanical integrity of the system to ensure safety and quality aspects of manufacturing. RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain plant control system components. Ensure plant productivity needs are met as related to the control systems. Run monthly, quarterly and annual reports and backups as needed and work with technical team to respond to findings. Determine areas of improvement (i.e. low memory and limited processing capabilities) and drive projects to complete improvements. • Support the technical team in automation configuration issues related to the Capital Projects. This involves either completing the designs & programming or just coordinating with third party resources to ensure completion of work. • Assist in the definition of scope to ensure effective implementation. Ensure FDS are in place for all processes in the site • Coordinate with Maintenance and Plant personnel and provide control system support for plant troubleshooting. Lead the alarm management improvement activities. • Write and update plant control system documentation including logic diagrams, interlock lists, sequence flow charts, database documentation, control system layout drawings, etc. This includes the confirmation of all documentation from project implementation is received and filed appropriately. • Work alongside the technical team to ensure that all plant standards related to the Site's control systems are met. • Responsible for the mechanical integrity of the automation systems. Leads the checkout operations of new systems and the mechanical integrity process of existing with the assistance of the site. • Implement a standard framework for all programming logic for all new and modifications to automation in the plant.
