ScopeThe Data Operations Specialist is responsible for owning and advancing enterprise-wide data standards, processes, and controls. This role serves as a senior individual contributor within Data Operations, providing subject-matter expertise, operational leadership, and strategic execution across the data lifecycle. You will design and drive initiatives that improve data quality, resilience, governance, and scalability, while acting as a trusted partner to business leaders and technology teams.
Responsibilities- Ongoing Data Management: Own and optimize Data Operations pipelines, with deep expertise in cleansing, and maintaining corporate structures and company- data. Establish best practices and standards for ongoing data management.
- Incident Management & Resolution: Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-impact data issues. Lead root cause analysis, post-mortems, and the design of long-term preventative solutions to reduce operational risk.
- Knowledge Leadership: Act as a subject-matter expert in company-level data and data flows across the firm. Proactively leverage this knowledge to answer complex internal questions, mentor junior team members, and influence data-related decision-making.
- Operational Excellence: Architect and drive advanced automation initiatives across Data Operations, including workflow optimization, system enhancements, data validation frameworks, monitoring solutions, and enterprise reporting.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership: Partner closely with Banker Success, Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable operational and technical solutions. Influence prioritization and ensure alignment across teams.
- Process Improvement & Strategy: Identify gaps and opportunities across the data ecosystem. Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve data reliability, efficiency, and scalability, contributing to the long-term data strategy of the firm.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to Analysts and Interns. Contribute to user onboarding, documentation, and the continuous improvement of team capabilities.
- Management of legacy processes as needed.
Basic Qualifications- 3-6 years of relevant industry experience, with a strong preference for data operations, research, financial services operations, or similar roles.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in operations, investment banking, accounting, consulting, data-focused roles, and/or process improvement projects strongly preferred.
- Advanced financial and/ or technical skillset, with the ability to navigate complex datasets and systems.
- Proven ability to operate independently, lead initiatives end-to-end.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:
$100,000-$110,000
Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
