As a Database Solutions Engineer & Technical Manager, you'll lead the design and implementation of governed data pipelines that bring together structured, semi-structured, geospatial, and mission data. In this role, you'll guide technical teams across Oracle AI Database 26ai, multimodal data architectures, OCI migration, data quality, lineage, and operational monitoring. You'll help establish practical standards and delivery approaches that make data products reliable, scalable, secure, and ready for operational use. You'll work with database engineers, data specialists, application developers, cloud and security professionals, and customer stakeholders to make sound technical decisions and keep delivery moving forward. What You'll Work On: • Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise data pipelines and database services. • Design and implement Oracle AI Database 26ai environments that meet scalability, performance, security, availability, and operational requirements. • Design multimodal database architectures integrating relational, spatial, JSON, including JSON Relational Duality, and graph data types. • Plan and execute Oracle Database migrations from on-premises or other cloud environments into OCI. • Apply ZDM, Data Pump, GoldenGate, or comparable tools for migration, replication, recovery, and data synchronization. • Define data-ingestion, transformation, quality, lineage, and operational-monitoring patterns. • Lead technical design reviews, guide engineers, resolve complex data issues, and coordinate implementation decisions. • Develop architecture diagrams, data models, migration plans, runbooks, implementation documentation, and stakeholder communications. You Have: • 10+ years of experience in database development, data engineering, or data architecture • Experience leading the architecture and implementation of pipelines that integrate structured, semi-structured, geospatial, and mission data sources • Experience designing and implementing Oracle AI Database 26ai solutions, including database standards, scalability, performance, security, availability, and transition to operations • Experience designing multimodal database solutions using relational, spatial, JSON, and graph data types • Experience planning and executing Oracle Database migrations from cloud environments, including on-premises, into OCI • Experience with migration, replication, recovery, or synchronization tools such as ZDM, Data Pump, or GoldenGate • Experience defining data-ingestion, transformation, quality, lineage, and operational-monitoring patterns • Experience leading technical design reviews, guiding engineers, resolving complex data issues, and communicating technical risks and tradeoffs • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam • Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have: • Experience working with geospatial raster and vector data and Oracle Spatial capabilities • Experience creating RESTful APIs and integrating with Oracle API Gateway • Experience with Oracle Exadata or OCI Autonomous AI Database Service on Exadata • Experience enabling AI use cases in Oracle Database using vector data types, RAG, and MCP • Experience leading database modernization or data-platform delivery in a regulated or mission environment • Knowledge of OCI and managed database services Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
