Database Solutions Engineer and Technical Manager
The Opportunity:

Secure, reliable data is essential to keeping mission systems available and helping users access the information they need. As a Database Developer, Technical Manager, you'll lead the design and operation of Oracle Database environments that support demanding workloads while protecting sensitive data and maintaining strong performance.

In this role, you'll work across geospatial data, Oracle AI Database 26ai, access controls, auditing, and database security. You'll help implement capabilities such as Oracle Label Security and Virtual Private Database while ensuring database solutions are designed, tested, documented, and ready for operational use.

You'll collaborate with database engineers, application developers, security professionals, cloud specialists, and customer stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges and strengthen the security of the overall environment. What You'll Work On:

• Architect, implement, and operate secure Oracle Database environments for mission and enterprise workloads.
• Design geospatial data models, spatial indexes, queries, and services supporting secure and scalable spatial analysis.
• Design and implement Oracle AI Database 26ai capabilities, including configuration, data modeling, performance tuning, access controls, and application integration.
• Implement Oracle security policies and controls, including Oracle Label Security and Virtual Private Database.
• Design role-based access models, auditing and logging practices, privileged-access controls, and secure database administration processes.
• Implement, document, test, and provide evidence for database security controls supporting RMF and ICD 503 requirements.
• Lead database design and security reviews, diagnose complex database and access-control issues, and communicate risks and remediation plans.
• Develop architecture diagrams, security designs, implementation plans, test procedures, and operational runbooks.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience in database development, database engineering, or a technical field
• Experience architecting, implementing, and operating secure Oracle Database environments, including database design, performance, availability, recoverability, and operational readiness
• Experience working with geospatial vector data and designing data models, spatial indexes, queries, and services
• Experience designing and implementing Oracle AI Database 26ai capabilities
• Experience implementing Oracle security policies and controls, including Oracle Label Security and Virtual Private Database
• Experience designing role-based access models, auditing and logging practices, privileged-access controls, and secure database administration processes
• Experience leading database and security reviews, resolving complex technical issues, and communicating risks, decisions, and remediation plans to stakeholders
• Knowledge of RMF and ICD 503 requirements, including implementing, testing, documenting, and providing evidence for database security controls
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Oracle Exadata or OCI Autonomous AI Database Service on Exadata
• Experience with Oracle APEX and secure data-centric application development
• Experience with Oracle Spatial and Spatial Studio
• Experience supporting authorization packages, control validation, remediation tracking, or database security assessments
• Knowledge of OCI, including secure database deployment, IAM, networking, monitoring, and key-management services

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
