The Opportunity:

Join our team as a Database Administrator supporting critical Corporate Business Information Systems. In this role, you’ll work hands‑on with a broad range of database technologies—including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and modern NoSQL platforms—while supporting key enterprise applications such as Momentum and PeopleSoft.

You’ll operate in a dynamic environment, collaborating with customers across multiple networks, ensuring system reliability, performance, and data integrity. This is an on‑site position offering the chance to make a meaningful impact while growing your technical depth across cloud, Linux, and database ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and administer Oracle RDBMS environments, including Oracle Grid Infrastructure, ASM, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.

  • Provide database administration across multiple platforms: Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL systems (MarkLogic, MongoDB, DynamoDB).

  • Perform routine backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations using RMAN, snapshots, and archive log management.

  • Troubleshoot system, database, hardware, and network issues; analyze performance and resolve complex technical problems.

  • Create and execute ad‑hoc SQL queries for diagnostics, analysis, and issue resolution.

  • Manage and maintain Linux operating systems and associated file systems.

  • Develop and maintain administrative scripts in various languages.

  • Conduct regular server audits to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

  • Maintain user accounts and ACLs on network file systems.

  • Support system-level changes, assess impacts, and participate in technical exchanges with stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with IT security, accreditation, and enterprise policies.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams, external partners, and vendors.

  • Participate in after‑hours and on‑call rotations as needed.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related technical field

  • Minimum 7 years of related experience

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.

  • Hands-on experience installing and administering Oracle Grid Infrastructure, RDBMS, Cloud Control, and ASM.

  • Strong Linux administration skills.

  • Experience with database cloning, monitoring, performance optimization, patching, and O&M activities.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain automation scripts.

  • Solid understanding of AWS services: EC2, EBS, snapshots, DMS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and S3.

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and move between workstations.

  • IT security expertise and experience working within accredited environments.


Desired:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).

  • Oracle Cloud Certification.

  • Experience with PeopleSoft applications and workflows.

  • Familiarity with geospatial products and COP management.
