The Position
We are seeking a Data Warehouse Support Manager to lead the ongoing support, stability, and performance of our Segment Data Warehouse environment, which underpins actuarial, underwriting, claims, and finance reporting across our Property & Casualty reinsurance business. This role bridges technical data warehouse operations with the business-critical needs of a reinsurance organization, ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable data for treaty analysis, loss reserving, exposure management, and regulatory reporting. Travel of up to 10% may be required outside of the country.
Job Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day support operations for the data warehouse environment, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution of data quality, ETL/ELT, and performance issues across Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and SQL Server
Lead a team of data warehouse analysts/engineers responsible for monitoring Azure Data Factory pipelines, Databricks jobs/notebooks, Qlik Replicate data replication streams, and SQL Server batch processes feeding actuarial and finance systems
Own the production support model: SLAs, escalation paths, on-call rotations, and incident/problem management aligned to business-critical reporting cycles (month-end, quarter-end, renewal seasons)
Oversee data quality controls and reconciliation processes to ensure consistency between source systems (policy admin, claims, ceded reinsurance systems) and the warehouse, including monitoring Qlik Replicate CDC pipelines for latency and data drift
Manage relationships with upstream data providers and downstream consumers, including third-party data feeds
Support and troubleshoot Power BI (Microsoft Fabric) semantic models, datasets, and refresh schedules, working closely with BI developers to resolve performance and connectivity issues
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring incidents, improve automation (e.g., ADF pipeline alerting, Databricks job monitoring), and enhance observability across the modern data stack
Maintain and improve documentation, including data lineage, runbooks, and support procedures across Databricks, ADF, Snowflake, and SQL Server environments
Coordinate with IT infrastructure, cloud platform, and BI/reporting teams on capacity planning, Microsoft Fabric/Azure environment upgrades, and change management
Ensure compliance with data governance, audit, and regulatory requirements relevant to reinsurance reporting (e.g., Solvency II, statutory filings)
Manage vendor relationships and contracts for outsourced support, Qlik licensing, and other platform tools
Own Datawarehouse production stability and operational readiness.
Lead quarter-close and business-critical reporting support activities.
Govern production change management, release validation, and rollback readiness.
Manage security access reviews, audit evidence, and compliance controls.
Drive AI-assisted automation for monitoring, RCA, and optimizing Datawarehouse operations.
Establish support KPIs, operational dashboards, and service improvement plans.
Manage onsite/offshore support capacity, vendor accountability, and knowledge retention.
Partner closely with Finance, Actuarial, Claims, and Underwriting stakeholders to prioritize production issues based on business impact.
