Praescient Analytics is looking for a high-impact Data Scientist, Team Lead to drive mission execution in support of critical national security objectives. In this role, you will do more than just "crunch numbers"-you will be the bridge between complex data engineering and actionable intelligence.
We need a strategic thinker who can automate processes, integrate advanced analytics into massive datasets, and lead a team through high-tempo operational environments. If you thrive on taking limited direction to solve "impossible" problems for the Intelligence Community (IC), we want to talk to you.
Your Impact:
As the Data Scientist Lead, you will provide the technical backbone for intelligence and targeting products while managing the health of the project lifecycle:
Technical Leadership: Drive process automation and the application of sophisticated data analytics to large, disparate datasets to enable rapid intelligence production.
Strategic Collaboration: Act as a key communicator between technical and non-technical partners, ensuring advanced analytic projects are translated into mission success.
Peer Excellence: Lead and participate in rigorous peer review processes, applying best practices and novel methodological approaches to enhance project outcomes.
Operational Management: Oversee project budgets, schedules, and status reporting. You will serve as the primary liaison between project planning and line management.
Problem Solving: Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and create intervention strategies to resolve bottlenecks and meet client-satisfaction goals.
Required Qualifications:
Security Clearance: Must possess an active, current TS/SCI with polygraph.
Experience: Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience in Data Science / Data Analysis.
Education: BS/BA degree in a related field.
Technical Stack: A proven data science background with proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, R, and Ruby.
Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to engage executive leaders and interagency partners in a professional, collaborative manner.
Adaptability: Proven track record of maintaining superior customer service and project completion in dynamic environments where requirements shift based on new information.
Organizational Mastery: Excellent time management skills and the ability to work across organizational silos to support whole-of-government activities.
Desired Qualifications:
IC Expertise: Deep knowledge of Intelligence Community policies and procedures and the ability to apply them to meet specific customer needs.
Team Leadership: Experience managing the full talent lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, driving team performance, and mentoring junior staff.
*U.S. Citizenship is required.
What you can expect from us:
Real opportunity for career growth in an environment where your achievements will be celebrated
Constant collaboration with numerous teams to ensure client success
A team that respects and embraces your ideas and expertise

Comprehensive, Company paid healthcare for you (We pay your premiums and deductibles)
401(k) with company match
Travel & performance incentives
