ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

As a Data Scientist / Computer Scientist on Team Nyla, you will bring your technical creativity and analytical curiosity to advance Computer Network Exploitation capabilities. Working alongside a team of brilliant, ever-curious engineers and operations experts, you will apply innovative techniques to uncover hidden patterns within massive, complex data holdings. By designing and integrating AI, machine learning, and automation workflows, you'll scale data analytics to generate actionable, informative conclusions at mission speed. The annual base salary range for this role is $152,000-$180,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

Required Skills

• Data Science & Analytics: Demonstrated ability to apply innovative data science, statistical, and algorithmic techniques to identify hidden patterns, anomalies, and insights in large, complex data holdings.
• Domain Experience: Practical familiarity.
• AI & Automation: Proven experience designing and implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), or automated analytical workflows to scale analytics and drive automated conclusions.
• Core Programming: Strong coding skills using modern data science languages (such as Python, R, or C++) for exploratory data analysis, algorithm prototyping, and tool integration.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 7+ years of professional experience in data science, NLP, or software engineering OR Master's Degree in a related field, PLUS 5+ years of relevant professional experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 11+ years of specialized technical experience in lieu of a degree.

Desired Skills

Experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) or Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools against operational data.

Familiarity with distributed computing and big data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, PySpark).

Track record of building automated operational tools, microplugins, or analytic workflows for complex mission environments.

Active involvement in continuous learning, prototype development, or emerging tech exploration.

Outstanding communication skills with a team-first, collaborative mindset.
