In detailThe role of AI/ML Specialist involves the following responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and rigorously evaluate AI/ML solutions that are aligned with the bank's overall strategy and goals.
- Work with the business to translate their requirements into high-impact AI/ML solutions.
- Stay current with the latest technical developments in the fields of GenAI, AI, and ML and identify opportunities to apply those at the bank.
- Communicate technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with internal clients to identify new opportunities for ML applications and models.
- Work with Application Development teams to deploy and support ML models in production environments.
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed- Master's degree or above inaquantitativefield(e.g.,Computer Science,Engineering,OperationsResearch,Statistics,orMathematics).
- Professional working proficiency in English language is required
- Strongproblem-solvingandanalyticalskills.
- Hands-onexperiencecontributingto data science, machine learning,deeplearning, orGenAIprojectsin Python.In particular :
- Demonstrableportfolio of data science / machine learningprojects.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks(e.g.,scikit-learn,PyTorch) and/or GenAI/Agenticframeworks (e.g.,transformers,langchain/langgraph,llamaindex,OpenAI Agents SDK,crewAI).
- Command of at least onedataanalysisandprocessinglibrary(e.g., pandas, SQL, Spark,Dask).
- Experiencewithvisualizationlibraries(matplotlib,seaborn,plotly).
- Experience with version control (git), Linux environment, and command-line interfaces.
- Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge English and French is required.
- Strong work ethic and ability to deal with confidential information
Nice-to-have Qualifications:
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- Experience with modern RAG techniques.
- Experienceparsingcomplex documents.
- Experience in deploying models to production.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GIT, Jenkins, ...) and MLOps (MLFlow).
- Experience with containerization techniques (Docker & Kubernetes).
- Experience with mentoring junior team members.
