Job DescriptionWarCollar Industries is seeking an experienced Database Developer to support a mission-focused customer in Herndon, VA. The Database Developer will be responsible for making critical data available, accessible, reliable, and secure for analysts and other stakeholders. In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise-scale databases supporting data collection, storage, access, and analytics. You will work closely with analysts and technical stakeholders to translate data requirements into effective database solutions capable of handling terabytes of data.
Required SkillsKey Responsibilities- Write, maintain, troubleshoot, and debug SQL stored procedures.
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate data collection requirements into implementable database solutions.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries operating against terabytes of data.
- Design and maintain database tables with clear schemas, appropriate indexing, and logical partitioning.
- Analyze data sources for accuracy, prioritization, and applicability to mission requirements.
- Apply appropriate data logic and database development practices to support reliable and scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and accessibility.
- Collaborate effectively with technical teams and mission stakeholders across multiple communication channels.
- Support database operations within Linux-based environments.
Desired SkillsRequired Qualifications- 7+ years of professional experience with database management and SQL.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated experience translating data collection requirements into practical, implementable database solutions.
- Experience optimizing SQL queries and database performance at enterprise scale, including environments containing terabytes of data.
- Strong understanding of database schema design, indexing, and logical partitioning.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to design solutions and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Experience analyzing data sources for accuracy, prioritization, and appropriate application of data logic.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Linux experience.
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
- Ability to work fully onsite in Herndon, VA.
