Position Overview

We are actively recruiting for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure, integration processes, and production-grade data pipelines. In this role, you will support enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and future AI use cases while establishing and evolving modern data platform capabilities. This is a highly technical role that sits at the intersection of data architecture, platform engineering, and cross-functional collaboration. There will be a strong emphasis on data quality, governance, and delivering reliable, well-governed data to downstream consumers.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible data engineering experience, including designing and supporting scalable data pipelines, transformation workflows, and modern cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL required; experience with Apache Spark and other data ingestion and orchestration tools strongly preferred.
  • Experience with distributed data processing frameworks and cloud-based data platforms; Databricks strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of data integration patterns, batch and near-real-time processing, change data capture, and data quality controls.
  • Experience implementing data governance frameworks including access controls, lineage tracking, validation, and monitoring practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, storage, and deployment concepts; platform-specific certification (e.g., Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional, Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate) a plus.
  • Experience in financial services, banking, or credit union environments strongly preferred.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to partner closely with analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams.
