Full Job Description
Location : Plano, Tx; Midea is bringing its data center cooling solutions - chillers, CDUs, and thermal management equipment - to the U.S. market. We need a Field Project Manager to own on-site delivery from arrival to sign-off. Youll be the person on the ground ensuring every piece of equipment is delivered, installed, and commissioned properly. Youll coordinate contractors, face the customer, and loop in engineering when needed. Responsibilities 3 Directed operations across multiple hyperscale data centers, ensuring uptime, operational readiness, and reliability for enterprise AI infrastructure. 3 Oversaw critical MEP infrastructure including power, UPS, generators, cooling, environmental monitoring, and physical security to maximize availability and operational resilience. 3 Supported planning and deployment of a 130 MW hyperscale AI data center; 3 Served as regional escalation lead for critical incidents, directing response, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and operational recovery. 3 Partnered with facilities, engineering, construction, and deployment teams to validate power, cooling, rack density, and infrastructure readiness for capacity expansion. 3 Led commissioning and operational turnover of new infrastructure while ensuring compliance with SOPs, MOPs, change management, and operational standards. 3 Managed vendors, TPMs, site operations, logistics, technician coordination and compliance initiatives. 3 Drove operational excellence through standardization, documentation, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across the Texas region. Requirements 1.Bachelors degree or above, preferably in HVAC, Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Engineering Management, or related fields. 2.At least 5 years of experience in data centers facility management, HVAC, MEP, central cooling plants, liquid cooling, or related industries. 3.Knowledge of data center cooling products and systems, including primary-side and secondary-side systems, liquid cooling CDU, fan wall, precision air conditioning, and chiller applications, is preferred. 5.Strong project planning, site coordination, risk control, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently drive complex project delivery. 6.Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills 7.Experience in Hyperscaler, Colo, AI data center, or ICT infrastructure facility operations is preferred. Others: - Valid U.S. drivers license and comfortable traveling to sites - Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer with immediate work visa sponsorship now or in the future
