Full Job Description
The Data & Analytics Product Owner, Senior Associate supports agile development teams in delivering data products that drive business value. This role works closely with solution managers, product managers to translate business needs into data solutions. At the Senior Associate level, Data & Analytics Product Owners are expected to understand business processes, transactional systems, and data in their focused domain. Responsibilities Product Vision & Strategy - Supports business leaders in identifying opportunities for data-driven solutions - Contributes to product roadmap development for data and analytics initiatives - Assists in translating business goals into product requirements, features, and user stories - Prioritizes backlog items under guidance of a solution manager, in coordination with other product owners, product managers, and stakeholders Agile Team Leadership - Participates as Product Owner for agile development teams or specific product features - Supports backlog refinement, sprint planning, and story elaboration sessions - Actively participates in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives - Provides input on scope and priorities to support team velocity and value delivery - Works with Scrum Master and RTEs to address team needs Stakeholder Management - Supports communication between business stakeholders and development teams - Participates in stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and provide updates - Helps facilitate alignment between technical capabilities and business needs - Assists in defining acceptance criteria for deliverables Data Product Development - Leads the development of analytics solutions including BI products, data science, and AI-integrated data solutions - Reviews data products to ensure they meet quality standards and business requirements - Collaborates with data engineers and architects on data modeling and technical design - Applies best practices in data visualization, user experience, and analytics Quality & Delivery - Helps define acceptance criteria for features, including data quality rules - Participates in reviewing completed work to ensure alignment with requirements - Tracks product performance metrics and user adoption - Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives in product features and team processes Qualifications Required - 2-4 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or related role in data/analytics domains - Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivery practices - Basic understanding of data engineering principles, data warehousing, or ETL processes - Familiarity with BI and analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar) - Understanding of data modeling or database design concepts - Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Ability to learn technical concepts and communicate them to different audiences - Experience or willingness to learn user story writing, acceptance criteria, and backlog management Preferred - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), CSM, or similar agile certification - Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Interest in data visualization design principles Position Level Senior Associate Country United States of America
