The Identity Governance team at lululemon sits within Cybersecurity and is responsible for governing digital identities and access across our global enterprise. We ensure the right accounts have the right access to the right systems, applications, and data for the minimum time required, balancing strong security controls with a great user experience. The team designs, builds, and operates identity lifecycle management, access governance, and identity and access risk services, that support workforce, third party, and non human identities at scale. Through automation, policy enforcement, and continuous improvement, we reduce risk, support regulatory compliance, and enable secure business growth. Our work is foundational to protecting guest and employee data while enabling innovation across lululemon's technology ecosystem.

core responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will own security engineering for specific systems and platforms, designing and implementing security controls that balance protection, performance, and usability. You will build, test, and maintain security solutions including automation, libraries, and tooling, apply secure coding practices, and support security testing and validation. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to integrate security into system design and delivery, drive improvements to security control effectiveness, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to high-quality, scalable security implementations.

Select responsibilities include:

  • Build comprehensive security systems implementing authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, secure identity services, and security enforcement
  • Develop security code and tools creating security platforms and libraries, scanners and detectors, security frameworks and policies, and security automation tools
  • Implement security at scale building security controls that work across multiple systems
  • Conduct security code reviews reviewing code for security vulnerabilities and implementation issues
  • Test security thoroughly performing security testing, penetration testing, and code security analysis


qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; security certification preferred
  • 4-8 years of experience designing and implementing security solutions, building security platforms and automations, or embedding security into systems, or equivalent
  • Proven experience implementing comprehensive security controls across systems including multi-layered defence mechanisms; demonstrated ability to build advanced authentication systems including multi-factor authentication and identity management solutions
  • Experience writing security-critical code including security libraries and middleware; track record of leading security code reviews, establishing secure coding standards, and identifying architectural security issues
  • Proven ability to conduct comprehensive penetration testing and security code analysis; experience building comprehensive security tools including scanners, testing frameworks, and validation systems
  • 4-8 years demonstrated engineering experience with Identity Access Management and Identity Governance platforms such as SailPoint IIQ / Identity Service Cloud (ISC) and Entra ID
  • Proficient in Beanshell, Java, SQL, JDBC, REST API, Web Services, and utilizing AI (Github Copilot, etc.) to improve - for example - application code, deployment methodologies, testing, role mining, operational support

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $112,200 - 147,200 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
