Responsibilities

  • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of business to meet profitability and risk targets.
  • Evaluate, price, and negotiate terms for both new and renewal business according to guidelines.
  • Review and analyze risks to maintain compliance with underwriting documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior underwriters and cross-functional teams for improved broker and client results.
  • Drive process improvements through collaboration with tech and data teams.
Full Job Description
  • Support and grow At-Bay's core wholesale broker relationships while delivering a high level of service and responsiveness.
  • Underwrite and grow a book of business, helping to achieve profitability and risk goals.
  • Evaluate, price, and negotiate coverage terms and conditions for new and renewal business in alignment with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
  • Review and analyze risks within At-Bay's underwriting guidelines and maintain accurate underwriting documentation.
  • Partner with senior underwriters, cyber analytics, product, marketing, and other internal teams to deliver strong broker and client outcomes.
  • Contribute to underwriting process improvements by working with technology and data teams on tools and workflow enhancements.

  • Approximately 1-3 years of underwriting experience in cyber liability and Tech E&O or specialty commercial insurance.
  • Solid understanding of specialty commercial underwriting principles and insurance industry practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex risks.
  • Comfortable working with technology and data-driven underwriting tools.
