Overview:Pembina Pipeline Corporation's Calgary office is actively hiring a Cyber Security Operations and Identity Manager to join the team. Reporting to the Cyber Security and Governance Director within the Information Services team, this role leads cyber security operations and identity and access management across Information Systems (IS) and Operational Technology environments (OT).
As the Manager, you will lead threat prevention, detection, and response activities while strengthening access governance and identity management practices. Through employees, contractors, and service providers, you will drive continuous improvement of security technologies and processes to reduce risk, support business objectives, maintain regulatory compliance, and align with industry best practices.
Pembina's Information Services team, within the Legal, People and Corporate Affairs division, delivers technology solutions that enable safe, reliable, and efficient business operations. The team manages enterprise infrastructure, technology platforms, data security, vendor relationships, and regulatory compliance while advancing digital solutions, automation, and emerging technologies that improve productivity and business performance. The successful candidate will work with adaptable, collaborative, and forward-thinking professionals in an evolving technology landscape.
Responsibilities:- Champion Pembina's Zero by Choice safety culture and Life Saving Rules by embedding physical, psychological, and cyber safety into all work practices while taking personal accountability to maintain compliance, support audit readiness, proactively identify risks, and protect our people, assets, and data;
- Manage internal and external teams to meet service levels, address risks, improve operational efficiency, and ensure effective delivery of cyber security operations and identity services;
- Lead proactive threat management by identifying emerging cyber risks, monitoring threat trends, and implementing mitigation strategies to strengthen the prevention, detection, and response to security events;
- Lead incident response activities by coordinating response efforts, making timely decisions under pressure, and communicating effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leaders during cyber security events;
- Mature the Identity and Access Management practice by building alignment and identifying opportunities with key internal and external stakeholders, including Information Services, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, business applications, and system owners;
- Act as the delivery manager for cyber security operations, identity, and OT cyber-related projects and initiatives, ensuring effective management of scope, delivery plans, stakeholder engagement, and outcomes;
- Manage annual and monthly cyber security budget cycles, including planning, forecasting, tracking, and reporting;
- Identify and implement AI-enabled solutions to automate routine tasks, reduce manual effort, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation across cybersecurity operations and identity services; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;
- 10 + years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 5 years in cyber security;
- Cybers Security- related certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC, or equivalent credentials are considered an asset;
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, technologies, and best practices, with demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level technology, cybersecurity, or identity programs and initiatives;
- Proven senior leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to develop, motivate, and lead high-performing teams;
- Ability to lead effectively in high-pressure situations, prioritize competing demands, make timely decisions, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Proven ability to negotiate and effectively manage vendors, consultants, and service providers; and
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and creative problem-solving skills.
