- Perform technical reviews of firewalls, routers, switches, and VoIP/VVoIP systems in accordance with STIGs and SRGs.
- Validate network segmentation, ACLs, and routing protocols for security compliance.
- Assess Zero Trust architecture components and ensure proper enforcement of least privilege and micro-segmentation.
- Analyze network logs and configurations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
- Provide technical support to DTRA sites for STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, and ATO package preparation.
- Develop comprehensive assessment reports and provide prioritized recommendations for remediation.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
- Education: BS in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 810 years in network engineering or cybersecurity.
- Required Certifications: Ability to obtain DoD 8140/8570 IAT III certification within 90 days of hire (CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent).
- Desired Certifications: Cisco CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, Juniper JNCIP, Zero Trust Architecture Certification

We are seeking a Cyber Operations Readiness Assessment (CORA) Lead Team Reviewer to join our team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Fort Belvoir, VA.

This high-impact mission involves conducting advanced cybersecurity inspections, uncovering vulnerabilities across cutting-edge networks, and supporting real-time decision-making that directly shapes DTRAs global operations. As part of this dynamic team, youll protect national security by ensuring DTRAs systems remain resilient, compliant, and ready against evolving threats. The successful CORA Lead Team Reviewer will support mission needs, multi-domain assessment coverage, and is expected to cross-train into multiple functional disciplines and support operational needs.
The Network Engineer/Reviewer will conduct in-depth cybersecurity assessments of boundary security devices, network infrastructure, and VoIP/VVoIP systems to ensure compliance with DoD standards. When not performing assessments, this role will support DTRA sites in audit preparation by applying STIGs, addressing vulnerabilities, and assisting with ATO documentation. The role also includes implementing Zero Trust principles and validating internal network security measures. As part of a DCDC-certified CORA team, the Network Engineer/Reviewer will deliver detailed assessment reports and actionable recommendations for addressing findings.

WAGE INFORMATION
Target salary range: $125,000.00- $160,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
