SummaryThe position will be responsible for managing in-house customs brokerage business of GLOVIS America.
ResponsibilitiesCustoms brokerage operation
- Manages day to day customs brokerage activities nationally and be familiar with US customs
- Recruits, trains, motivates new employees to service existing business and develop new business
- Set up and monitor KPIs for entry writers
- Develop and implement Customs brokerage operational procedures
- Collaborates with sales teams in writing Standard Operating Procedures for new clients
- Evaluates overall performance, workload, and organization of all customs brokerage staff
Develop and implement business plan
- Develop short/mid/long term business plans for customs brokerage operation and implement them
- Develop and implement annual business plan of customs brokerage operation
- Oversee budgets and financial data and use them to improve profitability
- Assist sales team to develop organizational goals
- Assist sales team to Identify new business opportunities & new accounts to increase sales
- Manage existing, new, and prospective accounts
Billing management
- Manage duty statements - daily and monthly - to US Customs
- Work with entry writer and finance teams for AR/AP as needed
Travel requirement: 5% domestic travel
Compensation Range$94,413 - $105,630 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Skills- Broad Knowledge about CFR 19 (Code of Federal Regulation) is required

Education & ExperienceRequired Qualifications
- HS Diploma/G.E.D.
- 7-10 year of customs brokerage experience
- 1-3 management/supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10-15 years of customs brokerage experience
- Customs Broker License
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
- Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
- Stand/walk
- Carry/lift up to 20 pounds
