SummaryAssists the Manager in leading customs brokerage operations, compliance, customer service, and team performance. Oversees complex operational matters, supports staffing and workflow decisions, drives process improvements, and helps ensure brokerage activities meet CBP, PGA, customer, and company requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist with leadership of daily customs brokerage operations, priorities, staffing, and workflow.
- Oversee complex entries, CBP/PGA issues, post-entry matters, and escalated customer concerns.
- Review operational controls for classification, valuation, admissibility, recordkeeping, and duty payment.
- Monitor service, quality, backlog, and compliance results; coordinate corrective actions as needed.
- Provide guidance on CF28, CF29, PSC, reconciliation, protest, drawback, and related activities.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, desk procedures, audit controls, and training materials.
- Coach supervisors and team members; support onboarding, cross-training, and knowledge development.
- Coordinate with customers, overseas offices, CBP, PGAs, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify operational and compliance risks and present recommendations to the Manager.
- Prepare management reports, customer reviews, and operational analysis.
- Support departmental planning, staffing, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Lead assigned customer implementations, system testing, and special projects.
- Act on behalf of the Manager for routine operational matters when assigned.
Travel requirement: 25% domestic travel
Compensation Range$80,859 - $89,739 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Education & ExperienceRequired Qualifications
- HS Diploma/G.E.D.
- Minimum 9 years of Customs Brokerage, Import Compliance, Freight Forwarding experience
- 1-3 management/supervisory experience

- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of Customs Brokerage, Import Compliance, Freight Forwarding experience
4-7 management/supervisory experience
