OverviewThe CVP, Sales is a senior commercial leader responsible for translating The Marzetti Company's business and brand strategies into customer strategies that deliver profitable growth. As a member of the Sales Leadership Team, this role leads a portfolio of strategic customers, builds strong customer and broker partnerships, and leads and develops a high-performing sales team.
This leader brings strong customer, business, and financial acumen, takes ownership for results, and works collaboratively across the organization to identify opportunities, make timely decisions, and deliver against business priorities.

Responsibilities • What You'll Do Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities:- Leads assigned strategic customers to achieve annual net revenue, operating income, distribution, and other key business objectives.
- Develops and executes customer strategies aligned with company, brand, and commercial priorities.
- Builds strong, collaborative relationships with key customers and leads strategic top-to-top engagements focused on growth and mutual value creation.
- Owns customer performance and proactively identifies opportunities, risks, and actions needed to deliver results.
- Identifies and leads opportunities to expand distribution, accelerate innovation, and drive profitable growth across the portfolio.
- Partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and other teams to translate business priorities into effective customer plans.
- Leads disciplined trade investment and ensures resources are effectively managed within budget and aligned with business priorities.
- Partners with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to improve forecast accuracy, anticipate customer needs, and support strong service levels.
- Aligns broker partners around key strategies, priorities, and execution expectations and holds partners accountable for results.
- Uses customer insights, consumer trends, financial performance, and marketplace dynamics to inform decisions and identify opportunities.
- Leads, coaches, and develops a high-performing sales team, creating clear expectations, accountability, engagement, and opportunities for growth.
- Contributes as a member of the Sales Leadership Team, bringing an enterprise perspective and partnering across the organization to advance broader business priorities.
- Challenges existing ways of working when appropriate and identifies opportunities to improve how the team operates and delivers results.

Qualifications • What You'll Bring - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10-12+ years of progressive experience within consumer packaged goods, with significant experience in sales and customer leadership.
- Experience across sales, sales planning, category management, trade development, customer finance, and/or revenue growth management preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, strategic customer relationships and delivering profitable growth.
- Strong business and financial acumen with experience managing revenue, profitability, trade investment, and other key commercial drivers.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities, anticipate issues, and make timely, informed decisions.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence effectively across functions, organizational levels, customers, and external partners.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, developing, engaging, and holding teams accountable for results.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 30-40% for customer, broker, company, and industry meetings.
Working Conditions/Environment Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Occasional travel to plants or meetings is required.
