Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in radiologic technology, including trauma and emergency department settings.
  • Familiarity with pediatric and cardiac imaging preferred but not mandatory.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a Computed Tomography program is a plus.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Valid ARRT License for Radiologic Technologists is a must.
  • NJ Radiologic Technologist License required; ARRT certification in CT preferred within the first year.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CAT scan equipment following established protocols set by radiologists.
  • Conduct CT scans during Interventional Radiology procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, reporting any equipment maintenance issues.
  • Monitor and manage inventory to ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Participate in clinical activities while complying with infection prevention policies and using the necessary PPE.

Full Job Description
Short DescriptionThis job requires the candidate to perform CAT scan procedures following protocols established by the radiologist and operate the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department. Maintains the work area by reporting Maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies, and deficient. Participates in Clinical activities and adheres to all infection prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed. Experience Required

General, Trauma and ED;

Experience with Pediatrics and Cardiac preferred but not necessary.

Education Requirements

Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program. Enrollment in or graduation from a qualified Computed Tomography program preferred

License/Certification Requirements

Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).

Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).

Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist).

ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred. If not at the time of hire, within 12 months of employment.
