Critical Care Advanced Practice Practitioner at Goldsboro, NC

UNC Health Wayne is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Inpatient Critical Care department in Goldsboro, NC. This position provides an excellent opportunity to practice at the top of your license, to help design and establish your workflow, and welcomes enthusiastic and hard-working new grads willing to learn from ICU attendings with decades of experience. The position also offers extremely competitive recently adjusted guaranteed compensation plus excellent quality bonuses and benefits.

At UNC Health Wayne, you will work with a great team of ICU providers, both MDs and APPs. You will be led by two knowledgeable and caring Critical Care and Pulmonology attending physicians with decades of experience in their fields. You will also work very closely with the hospitalist team at UNC Health Wayne. Our documentation templates and AI documentation assistance tools are designed to help transitions of care and decrease the time-consuming task of documentation.

At UNC Health Wayne, we believe in providing the right care at the right time in the right place, and as a critical care APP, you will be instrumental in achieving that goal.

We are searching for an APP capable of caring for critical care patients independently (with MD support and backup), and comfortable with procedures such as central line placements, intubations, and chest tube placement. We welcome enthusiastic new grads who are willing to learn from a very experienced ICU team.

  • Graduation from an accredited PA Program or NP Program with a critical care focus (Preferred)
  • North Carolina licensed and BLS/ACLS certified

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
  • Demonstrated clinical competency.
  • Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
