The Corporate Development team at Chase is responsible for strategic partnerships across Chase’s consumer lines of business – including the Consumer Bank, Business Bank, Wealth Management, Card Services, Connected Commerce, Home Lending, and Auto Lending. These partnerships are critical to Chase’s ability to execute on its core strategies and meet the needs of our customers in a rapidly changing financial services ecosystem. Developing these partnerships requires careful strategic consideration as well as a relentless focus on execution.  The Digital Partnerships team is responsible for digital payments and lending partnerships for Chase’s consumer businesses. The team has three primary functions: 1) determine the partnership strategies for large tech platforms and fintechs, 2) evaluate, negotiate and execute payments and lending partnerships, and 3) drive strategic thinking around key market developments and emerging industry trends.

As a Vice President on our Corporate Development Digital Partnerships team, you will be a key member of a high performance team, working across both our large tech and fintech partnerships for the bank, with a focus on payments and lending.  You will work on strategic analysis, lead commercial deals, support deal execution and negotiations, while understanding how to lead through influence across a large, multifaceted organization.  You will work closely with Chase’s senior-most executive leaders to evaluate how the financial ecosystem is changing, assess the implications for Chase, and determine what partnerships will deliver value for Chase’s customers.  We are looking for candidates who have outstanding analytic skills, are capable project managers, can build strong relationships, and have a passion for consumer financial services.

Job Responsibilities:
•    Develop our strategy and approach to emerging and evolving trends in the industry (e.g., new technologies, regulations, etc.)
•    Lead the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of strategic payments and lending partnerships with large tech and fintech players 
•    Support ongoing management of relationships with key large tech partners both externally as well as firmwide
•    Work with finance, legal and other functional partners to develop business cases, deal constructs and other key terms associated with partnerships
•    Monitor external environment for important competitive developments and potential partnership opportunities and share perspectives with key line of business partners
•    Ensure all deals are executed in accordance with policies, controls and Corporate Development procedures

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
•    Minimum 6+ years industry experience in digital, banking, financial services and/or payments
•    Able to build strong relationships inside and outside the company
•    Proven experience working in large cross-functional organizations, and adept at leading through influence
•    A track record of successfully executed partnerships and/or strategic alliance development
•    Outstanding analytic and problem-solving skills
•    Exceptional oral and written communication skills
•    Strong project management skills and able to achieve results within demanding timelines
•    BS degree or equivalent experience required
•    Comfortable facing and communicating with senior executives, both internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
•    Management consulting, investment banking, or PE/VC experience preferred
•    Experience as a people manager is a plus, with an innate interest in mentorship and helping others develop their careers
