Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional with a background in Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) and/or Regulatory Compliance to join our Corporate Audit team.

This role is intended for candidates with prior Internal Audit experience in financial services and experience auditing Compliance and/or Financial Crime programs.

You bring proven experience leading audits, assessing regulatory compliance frameworks, and providing effective challenge across the lines of defense. You thrive in fast-paced environments, communicate confidently with senior leaders, and have the curiosity to learn end-to-end FCC and Compliance processes. You're a strong writer, a clear communicator, and a collaborative partner who can influence stakeholders and elevate the audit function.

Through independent assurance and challenge, the team provides stakeholders and regulators with confidence that Compliance and Financial Crime risks are effectively identified, managed, and monitored.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Audit Leadership & Execution
  • Lead and oversee all phases of FCC and Compliance audits, including planning, risk assessment, testing, reporting, and issue validation.
  • Review audit workpapers to ensure conclusions are well-supported and aligned with internal methodology and IIA standards.
  • Draft clear, concise audit reports that articulate risks, root causes, and business impact.
  • Manage audit teams and contracted resources to deliver high-quality, timely audit execution.


Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
  • Build strong relationships with business management across the lines of defense.
  • Communicate expectations, escalate issues, and negotiate practical solutions with senior leaders.
  • Provide insight and challenge during discussions with Compliance, FCC, and business stakeholders.


Regulatory Compliance/Financial Crimes Compliance Expertise
  • Experience in Financial Crime and/or Corporate Compliance regulatory
  • Stay current on regulatory developments and industry trends; ensure audit coverage reflects evolving expectations.
  • Support regulatory interactions by providing clear, accurate audit perspectives.


People Leadership & Development
  • Coach, mentor, and develop audit staff; contribute to talent management and departmental initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.


Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of Internal Audit experience within the financial services industry, including experience auditing Financial Crime Compliance and/or Regulatory Compliance programs
  • Experience in a global financial institution or custody bank.
  • Experience auditing Financial Crime Compliance programs, including AML, Sanctions, KYC, Transaction Monitoring, and Financial Crime Risk Management.
  • Experience assessing Corporate Compliance programs and regulatory compliance oversight activities.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and international regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to financial services.
  • Strong understanding of audit methodology, including risk assessment, control testing, issue identification, and audit reporting.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and international regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to financial services.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluency in English
  • Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, CAMS, CRCM, or equivalent a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulations and regulatory expectations impacting global financial institutions a plus.

Salary Range:
$91,000 - $140,500 Annual
